Contract Information

Orders made through Dot-Id are subject to acceptance and availability. dot-id.co.uk may choose at any time to cancel your order.

No contract will officially exist between yourself and Dot-Id.co.uk until your parcel has been despatched.

Delivery Security

You may need to sign for your parcel so that we know you have received it.  If you are out when the postman calls, don’t worry! You will be left with a card with details of how to collect your parcel or rearrange delivery at a time convenient to you.  Your parcel will be kept for 7 days and if not collected or delivered it will be sent back to us.  If you would like us to re send your order we will regretably have to charge you.  If you would like to cancel your order we will refund you less the shipping costs.

Items in stock are despatched within 48 hours, however, please allow up to 5 working days for all deliveries to the UK.  Any items out of stock will be despatched as soon as we receive delivery (typically no longer than 14 days).  All items are sent 1st class via Royal Mail or by courier – orders may need to be signed for on receipt.  If you wish an order to be delivered on a certain day, please email us, quoting your name & order reference number, and we will despatch the order for delivery on that day if possible.

Please note:  We can not be held responsible for delays caused by the postal system or non-deliveries when a signature can not be obtained.  If you believe your order has been lost in transit, please contact us.


All our packaging is very discreet - we pack items in plain boxes or bubble-wrap bags with no logos or website addresses visible,just the address and a nice swirley graphic so you know it's from us! :) 

Receipt Of Goods

UK Deliveries: All our deliveries are sent either by Royal Mail or courier. Orders may require a signature on receipt.  If no one is available to take delivery a card will be put through your door with details of where you can collect your items from or how to arrange re-delivery.  If an item is returned to us because you did not collect it we will charge £3.50 for re-delivery or refund the cost of the goods minus £3.50 if you would rather they weren't resent for any reason.

UK Based Orders

Delivery is usually within 1 to 3 days.  However 10 working days should be allowed before contacting us if your order has not arrived.


Please note that if you live in the Highlands area delivery may take longer than specified.

Orders Delivered Outside The UK

We send internationally by International Signed-For Airmal, and find ourselves sending orders to Europe more and more frequently(Many thanks to all our customers on the continent!)

Not At Home During The Day?

No problem.  Your billing address should be the address your card is registered to.  However, you can have your parcel delivered to an alternative address.  Just fill in the desired address in the Delivery Address section.  Alternatively you can select the Collect + option for a small fee and have your item delivered to a local shop for you to collect.  Please be aware that Dot-Id.co.uk cannot be held responsible for orders delayed by incorrect address information supplied during the checkout process.

Returns & Refunds

We have a very simple returns procedure: If you are not happy with your order for any reason, please notify us within 7 days of receipt quoting your name, order reference and reason for return.  We aim to process all returns within 7 days of them being received.  If the item is faulty, please contact us for detailing the fault and whether you would like a replacement product, a different item or a full refund. Certain items may have additional guarantees from the manufacturer, please contact us for details.

NB: We can not accept returns if the packaging has been opened or the product used. In the case of unwanted items returned in an unfit state we reserve the right to charge for re-delivery of the original order to the customer as unwanted items returned in an unfit state will not be refunded/replaced. If you change your mind about an order/item please let us know as soon as possible: If notified outside the 7 day cooling off period, at our discretion we may offer an alternate product or credit note, please contact us for details.

Personalised/bespoke items can only be returned if faulty.

NB: We can not be held responsible for items that are lost in transit – we would recommend you obtain ‘proof of posting’ from the post office when returning goods.

* (For legal reasons, date of receipt will be taken to be the next working day after despatch for 1st class deliveries and 3 working days after despatch for 2nd class deliveries)

If you are a UK/EU consumer, you have the legal right, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 to cancel your order within seven (7) working days following your receipt of the goods or the date on which we begin provision of the services. Refunds for orders cancelled under the provisions of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations will be processed in accordance with your legal rights.

If you wish to cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations we ask you to please notify our Customer Service team by email as sales@dot-id.co.uk.

Goods must be returned within 28 days of cancelling your order. You must take reasonable care of the products that you wish to cancel and not use them. Products should be returned in their original packaging or promptly at your cost or using the free returns form supplied with your order. If you return goods, please always retain proof of posting for your records. This can be obtained from your Post Office and is free. You will be responsible for the returned products until they reach us.

Where you are cancelling your order within this cooling-off period we will refund the full cost of the item. We will only refund the delivery charges if you are cancelling the whole order, so please mention this when cancelling your order. Delivery charges are non-refundable if you are returning part of an order. If you notify us of your cancellation after the 7-day statutory cooling-off period, our standard returns policy will apply which can be viewed here.

If you cancel your order in any of the circumstances set out above in regards to cancellation under the provisions of the Distance Selling Regulations, Ann Summers will refund any money paid by you after any products, which have been delivered to you, are returned to us. In the case of damaged or incorrectly supplied goods, we may offer you a replacement product. Any refunds given by us will be made to the debit/credit card account provided when you placed your order and will be subject to our right to withhold amounts for products which are damaged on return as outlined above. Where we deliver products to a third party in accordance with your order, you will only be able to exercise this cancellation right if you can return the goods to us (or arrange for us to collect them).

Unwanted Goods

Dot-Id.co.uk will offer a full refund, less our postage and packaging costs, within 14 days – no questions asked!  If you wish to exchange the goods ordered for any reason what so ever, you can do so within 30 days of receipt.

Please note that we cannot refund or exchange unwanted items if the products are returned in an unfit state, used or any of the original packaging is opened, missing or broken. We adhere to strict and sensible health and hygiene conditions.


Remember - you will be responsible for returning any goods to us and any costs incured doing so,which is only fair.


Faulty or incorrect goods

Should you receive faulty goods, Please contact dot-Id ASAP for returns details.  All returned products will be tested and returned to you at your expense if they are found to be working.


You have the right to cancel your order within 7 days for a refund. However, if your parcel has already been despatched you will be charged for the cost of shipping and a refund will not be made until the parcel has returned back to us. Please remember that we work on a same day despatch system so to avoid the postage charge and delayed refund you should inform us on the same day that the order is made.


A refund cannot be issued until Dot-Id.co.uk receive the goods in question. The European Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 require us to say that your money will be returned within 30 days of cancellation. At Dot-Id.co.uk we aim to refund you within 14 days.


How To Return An Item

If you are returning an unwanted item please make sure you wrap the item securely. You will need to enclose a note informing us of your details, order number and reason for return. Please also state whether you would like an exchange or refund.
